Visited in 1995, the villa has been in the family for centuries. Lena Schiarino is painstakingly refurbishing the large villa with the fresco walls. Comfortable rooms. Breakfast in the big house. Friendly. A little English spoken. Just minutes from the very interesting town of Mantova/Mantovano which is a town that is not to be missed.

On our 2008 trip we stayed in at the Hotel Aurora in Lezzeno which is located about 6 km from Bellagio.
We ate every night at the hotel restaurant, which is located in a covered patio just across the road. When we look back, we know why we ate there everynight. The food was great. Their house presseco vine was very well priced and we enjoyed many a bottle! The cheese-pear ravoli is a dish we talk about as being right up there with the best dishes of the entire trip.
