Wow, what a place we first found this hotel on our June 2000 visit to Sicily. We have always wanted to return and for our 2003 trip we re-arranged our entire itinerary so that we could stay here once again. Well worth it.
The hotel is elegantly furnished with a large pool and patio that overlook the sea. Look out over the black lava rocks at the sea. Rooms on the sea-side have patios. Rooms on the back of the hotel are air-conditioned. Take your pick! |

The staff are friendly and the food great. By all means take your meals here are you'll enjoy each and every bite! The restaurant serves a good range of great wines also. You'll enjoy them. We used Giardini Naxos as a base and traveled around the eastern side of the island. It is just minutes from the main highway. The hotel even offers a free shuttle bus to the town of Toarmina - just ten minutes away. Read more about Sicily. |

In June 2000 we had the pleasure of staying at this small hotel located just a few doors away from the wonderful beach at San Vito Lo Capo. You will receive a warm welcome from all, special thanks go to Vito who helped us with a boat tour -- be sure to take that -- and other arrangements. Take board as the food is great! Unfortunately in 2003 when we returned it was full and we were unable to get in. Great little hotel.

On our 2003 tour we found this hotel in desperation. It turned out to be a great place. The rooms are very comfortable and well decorated, it has a wonderful pool, even through there are archways and archways, and the food in the restaurant it very good.
A typical driving day. Driving too long, then not being able to find a place. Finally I walked into a var in Sciacca and asked if anyone knew how to find the hotel. Well were my companions shocked when I did not come out with instructions, no a very nice guy came out with me, and we followed him on his motocycle as he led us through the town and down the road about 4 km out of town to find the hotel. Yep. Scilia is great.

Taormina is always enjoyable day when on the east coast of Sciliy. Slow down and enjoy a great lunch.
La Griglia is worth each of its two Michelin Forks. In 2003 we enjoyed a very good lunch. The pastas were top notch. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays so plan your days accordingly!
