Our first trip, in the spring, is through eastern Europe.
We will fly from Vancouver to Paris and then on to Prague.
In Prague we meet our friends from Vancouver and together we have apartments in three cities (Prague, Vienna and Budapest).
From Prague we will make our way to Vienna where again in an apartment with friends to enjoy this popular city. We have not met a person who has not rated Vienna as outstanding.
From there is on to Budapest, a city for many years we have wanted to visit. From there we will travel to our second home, Paris.
It could not be a fulsome year without some time in Italy, so we heard off for a Fall trip to one of our favorite countries. We fry from Vancouver to Paris on the non-stop Air France flight, and then down to Rome.
This year we will travel north of Rome. We start on the coast of Tuscany where we will spend a week just relaxing. The Spring trip is basically all cities. So for the Fall we are planning more in the country time. Next, we will travel up to Manarola, on the the Cinque Terre in Liguria. It has been way too long since we have been in this area. Glenn has his photo locations mapped out!
The next stop is Bergamo and city we have not been to in almost 20 years and looking forward to a return visit.
Then it is over tothe Val D'Orcia. This is one of the areas that we have wanted to spend some time in.
In Rome for a week. We could not get our "regular" apartment but we have found a very nice apartment with a large roof-top patio. Just across the Tiber, it means a new area to live in and we are looking forward to the time in Rome.
We have an apartment in Prague and our friends Mike and Margot will be joining us for the trip through the Eastern Europe cities.
We stay in a well situation apartment and look forward to exploring this highly rated city.
After many years of talking about it, we will be here. Another apartment for a solid stay in this historic city.
Our friends return to England and we arrive in Paris. This is one of our unoffical "second homes". Bonjour Paris
Montalto di Castro
On the coast of Tuscany, this will be a week of relaxation.
It has been way too long since we have spent time in the Cinque Terre. We will be staying in the town of Manarola.
Maybe twenty years since we have been to this jewel. On the way up we will stay in Radicofani in the Val D'Orcia.
We end the fall tour with a week in Rome. Ciao Roma!
